Sisters at the Edge Project
This is a long term project, with the aim to take Playback Theatre to women whose voices are not usually heard. Our objective is to stand beside these women and offer a creative and empathic response to their life experiences in order to help restore their strength and emotional well-being, after, often, very traumatic life events.
This is a project for young women, women who have suffered domestic violence and women who are refugees or seeking asylum.
Aspects Project – Listening, empathy and respect
This project came about as a partnership between Playback Community Theatre South West (PTSW) and Robert Owen Foundation, and Torbay Opportunity For Youth (TOFY). The project took place between February and June 2008.
The aim of this project was to train adults with learning disabilities in this unique theatre form in order to develop an independent Playback Theatre company.
