We are very pleased to report that we have successfully gained charitable status as of 14th May 2015. Our Registered Charity Number is 1161665.
A Board of six Trustees with a diverse range of skills have been appointed:
Katie Chaplin – works as a Services Manager at Teignbridge CVS and for Devon Voluntary Action, an infrastructure organisation that supports community and voluntary activity in the area. Katie is a member of Tarte Noire and was previously a member of the Management Committee.
Jet Kamphuis – has extensive experience of bookkeeping, working with small local businesses and theatre companies. She has been a Trustee for the Dart Valley Learning Trust and works as a maths tutor.
Francis Porter – is a graphic and website designer. He has previously been a Trustee for local Devon charity Moor Trees.
Jill Lewis – teaches literary and feminist studies, engaging practitioners interested in feminist issues. She has worked with HIV awareness and prevention in Britain and internationally since 1986 and is a Trustee of the Salamander Trust. She has also worked with refugees.
Arnet Donkin – works in education and was a founder member of Mirror Mirror (2005) and a founder member of Queer Playback Theatre (2012). He is Director of Education Change Limited, a company providing school improvement and leadership support and interventions for schools. Previously he has been a Senior Education Adviser within Children’s Services for Plymouth City Council.
Steve Hennessey – runs a theatre company for people with mental health issues. He is a playwright and has been setting up a Playback Theatre company in Bristol.
